Soil is a collage series that raises from my grandfather's belongings after his death. It is a  reflection on the cycle of life and death through objects that still keeping the history of the ancestors and through them, memories and discoveries are activated.

 

Maps founded in his library were deconstructed and reconstructed on his everyday life’s papers. Envelopes, cartographic papers, mathematical studies, wrapping papers were reconnected into art pieces.

"Soil" brings not only shapes together, but as well as history. As an immigrant, my grandfather arrived at the unknown land had to rebuilt his life, sewing his history.
