Regenera
Portugal, 2025
To regenerate means “to give life,” “to reorganize,” “to restore,” “to reform.” This project invites a renewed perspective on what is old, used, forgotten, or discarded — a sensitive reconnection with the objects that silently inhabit our everyday lives.
I primarily work with second-hand materials: objects inherited from family members, forgotten fabrics, driftwood and nails brought in by the sea, debris left behind by construction. These are fragments in states of decay, elements that once supported structures, carrying dormant stories and hidden memories.
In this exhibition, these materials are brought together in intuitive compositions, arranged with balance and symmetry. They form organic, abstract structures that evoke the cycle of transformation — where what was once discarded finds new meaning and presence within the artistic space.
